Institute of Peace and Development Studies (IPDS) is a non-government, non-political and non-profit independent organization based in Pakistan. The vision of IPD is to improvise the Pakistan stand on Peace and taking initiatives on Tolerance and Conflict Resolution, Counter Violent Extremism, Sustainable Development, Inclusive Governance, Women Peace and Leadership and Diplomatic Studies.
IPD is working in partnership with many local institutes and foreign bodies. It has signed many memorandums with various organizations for promoting Peace, Tolerance and Sustainable Development through research, advocacy, dialogues and sessions.
On Oct 12, 2018, IPDS has signed agreement of cooperation with Bahria University for joint collaboration in Research, Education and Trainings in Social Sciences and Humanities. The agreement of cooperation was signed between Rear Admiral Nasir Mahmood HI(M), Pro Rector, DG Islamabad Campus, Bahria University and Ms. Farhat Asif , Founder President, Institute of Peace and Diplomatic Studies Islamabad at Bahria University Islamabad Campus. Ms. Farhat, during this ceremony, provided briefing about the initiatives of IPD to the faculty members from Social Sciences Department Bahria University. Staff of IPDS was also present during the signing ceremony.
